Terms of Service

Last updated: September 11, 2026

These terms govern your use of stonelegance.com and describe how we work with customers of Stone Elegance Marble & Granite ("Stone Elegance", "we", "us"). By using this website or requesting an estimate, you agree to them. The specific written agreement or signed contract for your project always takes precedence over anything stated here.

1. Using this website

The content on this site — descriptions of stone types, process steps, timelines and project photography — is provided for general information about our services. We keep it accurate and current to the best of our ability, but it is not a technical specification, a design guarantee or professional advice for your particular project. You agree not to use the site unlawfully, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt to access areas of the server you are not authorised to access.

2. Estimates and quotes

Estimates requested through this website are free and carry no obligation. An estimate based on rough measurements you provide is a preliminary figure: it reflects the information given to us at that moment and may change once we see the space and take final measurements.

A quote becomes binding only when it is issued in writing for a defined scope, a selected slab and confirmed measurements, and accepted by you. Prices are subject to change if the scope, material, edge profile, cutouts or site conditions change, or if the selected slab is no longer available from the supplier.

3. Measurement and templating

Digital laser templating is performed once cabinets and supporting structures are installed, level and ready. Fabrication cannot begin before templating, because the template is what the stone is cut from. If cabinets are moved, replaced or adjusted after templating, a new template and additional charges may be required.

You are responsible for confirming appliance models, sink and faucet selections, and cooktop cutout requirements before fabrication begins. Cutouts are made to the specifications supplied.

4. Natural stone and material variation

Granite, marble and quartzite are natural products. Colour, veining, movement, pitting, fissures and mineral variation are inherent characteristics of natural stone, not defects. Samples, showroom pieces and photographs on this website — including our portfolio images — indicate the general character of a material, not the exact appearance of the slab that will be installed in your home.

Engineered quartz offers greater colour consistency but can still vary between production batches. Wherever practical, we invite customers to view and approve the actual slab before fabrication.

Seams are a normal part of stone fabrication on runs and islands that exceed slab dimensions. We plan seam placement to be as discreet as possible and join slabs with colour-matched resin, but a seam remains visible and tangible to some degree.

5. Scheduling and site access

Fabrication and installation timelines quoted on this site — typically 5 to 7 business days of fabrication after templating, and installation completed in a single day — are our normal working schedule, not a guarantee. Supplier delays, slab availability, weather, access problems and conditions found on site can shift dates. We will tell you as soon as we know of any change.

You agree to provide safe, clear access to the work area on the scheduled dates, including a clear path for carrying slabs, and to remove fragile or valuable items from the work zone. Old countertops must be removed and the cabinets ready unless demolition is explicitly included in your quote. Plumbing, electrical and gas disconnection and reconnection are not included unless expressly stated in writing.

6. Payment

Payment terms, accepted payment methods and any deposit required to reserve material and schedule fabrication are set out in your written quote or contract. Slabs are ordered and cut specifically for your project, so amounts paid toward material may be non-refundable once fabrication has begun. Final payment is due on completion of the installation unless your contract states otherwise.

7. Warranty

Stone Elegance provides a craftsmanship warranty covering our fabrication and installation labor. It covers defects in our workmanship — for example seam failure or improper fitting attributable to our work.

The material itself is covered by the individual warranty offered by its manufacturer or quarry, where one exists. We will pass those warranty documents on to you.

The labor warranty does not cover damage from impact, misuse, thermal shock, standing on or sitting on the counters, unsupported overhangs modified after installation, structural or cabinet movement, abrasive or acidic cleaners, failure to reseal natural stone at the recommended interval, work performed on the counters by others, or ordinary wear, patina and etching that are inherent to natural stone. Details, duration and claim procedure are stated in the warranty document supplied with your project.

8. Changes and cancellations

Requests to change material, layout, edge profile or cutouts after a quote is accepted must be made in writing and may affect both price and schedule. Changes requested after fabrication has begun may not be possible. If you cancel, any costs already incurred on your behalf — including slabs purchased or cut for your project — remain payable as set out in your contract.

9. Photos and intellectual property

All text, photography, logos and design on this website are the property of Stone Elegance Marble & Granite or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without written consent. Unless you tell us otherwise in writing, we may photograph completed installations for our portfolio, website and social media. Such photographs show the finished work only; we do not publish customer names or addresses. If you prefer that your project not be photographed or published, simply tell us and we will respect that.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

This website is provided "as is". We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted or error free. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Stone Elegance is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for personal injury caused by negligence, or any rights you have as a consumer under New Jersey law.

Our liability in connection with any installation is limited to the remedies set out in your written contract and warranty document.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Disputes will be brought before the courts located in New Jersey. If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
